Ds is 21 months and has always been such a lovely snuggly baby. He comes for cuddles so often, loops his arm round my neck and strokes the back of my neck. I am such a lucky mummy, long may it continue...

my DD is a huge cuddler. I have to "duddle her up" and "duddle duddle" She wraps her arms around me, pats my back and nuzzles into my neck. She also has a habit of sticking her hand down my jumper when shes tired and wedging her hand in my cleavage (strange child). Every morning this week, her first words to me have been "i love you too" followed by a big kiss.

IVe had a bit of a rough week, but her cuddles have got me though it

I've just spent the entire weekend with my twin God Daughters (2.4) My absolute favourite moment of the weekend was early sunday morning, sitting on the sofa snuggled under a blanket with the girls cuddled in either side of me. We sat like that for ages and it was magical. I also love it when they launch themselves at me, or climb on to my lap saying cuddle, cuddle.

I can't wait to have kids.

Yes! DS1 never used to bother cuddling, only if he was ill. DS2 is such a cuddler, even the staff at nursery say if the staff in the tweenie room are all busy he comes into the baby room with his arms out wanting a cuddle at 21m. I love having a cuddly dc!!!

Ds is 10 years old and still wants cuddles, which I enjoy as much as he does. If he wakes up before me he will sometimes crawl into bed with us for an extra morning cuddle (he sometimes drops off again) and I keep on thinking I should stop those but I'm addicted to cuddles, its good for your bloodpressure.

My DS is wonderfully cuddly as well - he's 3.I have even found that saying 'NO cuddle if you don't stop doing that' to be reasonably effective at dealing with tantrums (as long as he gets a cuddle as soon as he stops misbehaving).

Ohhhh you are all so lucky! My DS (8 months) couldn't be less interested in snuggling. He's far too busy!

such a lovely thread
ds only 4 months so not into cuddling quite yet, maybe a bit of snuggling into my neck but can't wait. it all sounds so wonderful.

any tips for how to turn them into a cuddler? apart from cuddling them non stop...

DS1 (7.5) is getting more cuddly with age. He has always enjoyed receiving cuddles but now he likes giving them too. He will often come out of school and throw his arms round me - can't imagine that will last much longer.

DS2 (4.4) is the real cuddler. He still loves to sit on my lap and arrange my arms round him. He throws himself at my legs all the time which makes moving difficult, and he is generous with his kisses. We play a game where he blows me so many kisses that I am supposed to stagger under the weight of them. He loves to have a cuddle at bedtime so I have to lie with him when I say good night and he wraps my arms round him. He is asleep in minutes. He is absolutely gorgeous.

I am very lucky.

Luvaduck - I have always given my boys loads of hugs and I can't resist kissing them if they come too close. I don't know if that has made them enjoy cuddles so much. I think if your lo enjoying snuggling into you, you have a pretty good chance that he will be a cuddly one.

my nearly 11 month old DS is super super cuddly

DD (just 3) has been through a period of not being cuddly, but now she is again - we have big goodnight hugs and kisses, and she askes for hugs and kisses - and always wants any knocks to be kissed better. I dropped a car seat on my eyebrow yesterday (don't ask) and she came rushing over to 'kiss it better, poor mummy'.

lovely
