Disembowelment made me what I am today!

Blandmum · 02/07/2007 20:37

Sore?

edam · 02/07/2007 20:40

I'm kind me, I go for the Henry VIII solution of allowing my favourites to be executed cleanly by a French swordsman. Gosh, I'm such a big softy!

Blandmum · 02/07/2007 20:40

soft liberal ponce!

nickytwotimes · 02/07/2007 20:41

rofl at this thread!

BenStiller · 02/07/2007 20:42

could go for the more modern option at this thread

Pennies · 02/07/2007 20:45

We find crucifixion works everytime, though one needs access to an outdoor space of a suitable size which I accept not all might have. Also often send the younger ones down mines / up chinmeys, depending on location.

Lilymaid · 02/07/2007 20:45

I prefer the methods of the good old fashioned Spanish Inquisition in particular the strapido, where Dcs can be hung by the arms and dropped, but if the ceilings are too low I usually resort to cranking up the rack with or without hot coals.

Pennies · 02/07/2007 20:46

lillymaid - hot coals? Quite wasteful in this energy conscious age don't you think? tut tut.

UCM · 02/07/2007 20:47

Bring it on.

edam · 02/07/2007 20:50

Oh MB, I shall have to reconsider now. Maybe burning coals aren't such a bad idea after all?

(Mind you, I have threatened to send ds up a chimney before now when he's acting particularly spoilt. Don't think he has a clue what I'm on about, tbh.)

Blandmum · 02/07/2007 20:51

My preferd threat is to tie thenm to the leg of the table and to beat them with a wet lettuce leaf.

works for us

UCM · 02/07/2007 20:53

Actually sod it. Is this a thread to say that everyone is really awful if they smack their child. I guess it is.

WHO ON EARTH ARE ANY OF YOU TO tell others how to parent? OK, advice is nice, of course, but you are starting a thread to specifically slag me off. Perhaps not, but since I bucked the trend for 'non smacking', it applies to me.

This is a dreadful thing to do as you are saying 'if you don't agree with us you are awful'

I don't expect everyone to agree, but to start a new thread just to denigrate others opinions is a whole load of bollox.

Debate or shut the fuck up

nickytwotimes · 02/07/2007 20:54

i don't object to smacking, but i still thought this thread was clever and funny!

nicky, fwiw, I agree with you.

UCM · 02/07/2007 20:56

Well we will see in 10 years time whether our right or wrong parenting worked I guess.

imnot27 · 02/07/2007 20:59

PMSL at this thread. So PLEEAAASE don't get arsy cos there's a real in-depth discussion about corporal punishment on another thread and you're in SERIOUS mode. Is Monday evening ffs, lucky to have made it this far on just ONE glass of wine, so can we just enjoy a slighty snidey joke?

FrannyandZooey · 02/07/2007 21:02

Yeah, the other thread is for sensible debate about corporal punishment.

This thread is to say :

Bring back the lash

Stick the thumbscrews on her for using the F word.

Marina · 02/07/2007 21:58

Being hung drawn and quartered did me lots of good - long neck to display jewellery to advantage, always a tasty cooked snack on hand, and I can post in four places at once. I think there's a lot to be said for it myself, and so do my eight children
