DivaSkyChick · 02/07/2007 18:51

lol

TootyFrooty · 02/07/2007 18:52

Never did me any harm....

fanella · 02/07/2007 18:53

with love, of course - for their own good.

FrannyandZooey · 02/07/2007 18:54

yes Tooty I too was hung drawn and quartered often as a child and I think I can say with perfect confidence that it has not affected me negatively in any way

in fact I feel it has done me good

A bit messy?

Difficult to organise the fire to roast the intestines as well as the horses.

Can't be arsed myself.

jeremyvile · 02/07/2007 18:54

Good old fashioned public stoning.
Mark my words, there'd be clean plates forever more.

Blandmum · 02/07/2007 18:56

in some parts of the world, that still happens. But with the benefits of the 21 centuary, they may now use a dumper truck to drop the stones onto the victim

JodieG1 · 02/07/2007 18:56

Never did me any harm either, and of course, that must mean that it's all ok

Greensleeves · 02/07/2007 18:57

ROFL, that I didn't think of this first

Having said that when I were a nipper you stepped out of line and it was off with the bollocks and out with the thumbscrews, you knew your place and that was that. Yes it was a bit nasty at the time, there may well have been the odd scar if you really deserved it, but you could leave your back door open at night and they were always good to their mothers.

FrannyandZooey · 02/07/2007 18:57

Martianbishop, typical lazy parenting. Don't come crying to us when your children all end up in Borstal

TootyFrooty · 02/07/2007 18:58

Exactly Greeny. And everyone has respect for their elders. Gawd bless the Queen.

jeremyvile · 02/07/2007 18:58

Victim? Martianbishop, victim?

You do understand we're talking about disobediant children here dont you?

There are no victims. Let the stoning commence.

TootyFrooty · 02/07/2007 18:59

borstal's too for them. mumble mumble mumble.

WigWamBam · 02/07/2007 19:00

Personally, I favour the guillotine myself; much cleaner. All done in one place, nice little basket to catch the mess, no horses to poo everywhere. And only one person needed to administer as well, so saves on manhours and dry-cleaning bills.

Blandmum · 02/07/2007 19:01

and you can knit while it is happeneing.

Nice to be creative

TootyFrooty · 02/07/2007 19:02

Yes. I've knitted a couple of nice black hoods at public executions. You never know when you'll need them and you can sell them on ebay.

TrinityRhino · 02/07/2007 19:10

roffling hard

Greensleeves · 02/07/2007 19:28

Well I think there's a lot to be said for the humble lethal injection. No waste no mess, BANG! and the brat is gone!!

And you can keep one handy in the kitchen drawer for those off-the-cuff disciplinary emergencies.

BreeVanDerCamp · 02/07/2007 19:30

It never did me any harm. All four parts of me are very balanced. Costs a fortune in shrink bills........

Mercy · 02/07/2007 19:35

Ok, I'm going to risk being ticked off by GS (!) but what is this thread about? Some other thread?

Point me in the right direction please

Chirpygirl · 02/07/2007 19:37

roffling also

Greensleeves · 02/07/2007 19:45

pmsl at Mercy, again

the other thread is called "good old-fashioned smacking"

Bouncingturtle · 02/07/2007 19:47

Bring back the rack! Never did me any harm. In fact I was destined to be a short arse, instead I now play basketball for England

Tutter · 02/07/2007 19:47

lol

haven't read other thread but saw it in active convos and had the exact sam,e thought

"good old-fashioned hanging"

Mercy · 02/07/2007 20:26

Or rather I would do if I wasn't tongue-tied. So instead.

Thanks, will have a look
