Bloody milestone charts! [cross]

Just made the mistake of looking at one of thos milestone charts when will I learn... DS (1 on Sunday!) is very physical, runs around, lifts heavy objects, plays peekaboo etc... but he doesn't "say" anything - at least not in recognisable words. A lot of "dada" and quite a few "yeah"s but not in a targeted way - just sounds I think. He babbles away happily most of the time.

I talk to him constantly, but haven't really done the "Cuh - cat" thing - when I try it, he goes off into peals of giggles!

So - I don;t think I should be worried, do you agree? and should I be doing anything else/differently?

Thanks in advance

littleeastelpin. the cuh for cat thing is for when they are learning phonics not learning to speak. I think phonics at one woudl be pushing it!

Ahh, thank you Alex. One of my friends is definitely doing it... she is quite lentil weaverish in her tendencies so I thought it was just something I hadn't heard about!
