Mine has two:

  • me no like it
  • me do it

He can pretty much get by on just those two statements.

Ah, I'd weaned DS1 by this age, so he was less boobie-obsessed. Well, he swapped bf for a habit of, with women, putting his ear on the breast (sleepy boobah), and with men, putting his hand down the shirt and tweaking (sleepy chest).

He never seemed that interested in seeing boobs. He did explain how a family friend had plain sleepy chest, while daddy has furry sleepy chest.

ds1 asked me the other day why men have nipples

"Ollie want a big fat big fat blue (insert cup/train/cake/whatever here)"

To be followed shortly after by "I neeeed it mummy" if said big fat blue one is not immediately forthcoming

I hope you directed him to information on male lactation?

God, I realise my post sounded like an argument against extended bf ... but I'm not sure a two-year-old who says "boobies" is any less embarassing than a two-year-old who, when cuddling with a bloke, tries to sneak his hand down his shirt. We had a couple of male co-op workers when DS1 was that age, and thankfully they were relaxed about it.

Two year olds are always embarassing, one way or another.

"Mummy cuddle"

Between about 18 months and 2 years ds used to put his hands together and say "Amen" everytime we passed the local church. (He didn't learn that from me. )

Now (2.7 years) he says "Read Sam's Daddy/Read that again", "In a minute", "Not yet" and when told he needs a nappy change he considers it and then very politely says "No, thank you".

bran, that would have driven me insane.

As of today, DS1 does not believe in god, and asks me not to believe in a giant invisible squid, or the flying spaghetti monster.
