Yesterday I was drying myself after my shower when I realised that dd (2) was crouching down looking up at my fanny from which was dangling a tampon string.....A fascinated little voice piped up,'Mummy is that a present up there?
'It's a special present for mummies' I replied, torn between laughing like a fool and being slightly alarmed at her interest. Ho hum, more to come I guess.

Yeh Ok , lots of threads already on this subject so best not start another (I;ve only been on mumsnet since ST article so a bit of a newbie). Seem to be yays and nays for the mooncup though.

love mine, too. Caught dd feeding her dolly from mine last week!

Tissy · 07/05/2004 08:17

Mean that she was using the clean mooncup as a receptacle for "food"

Ha Ha, that is priceless welshmum. Reminds me of my tampax moment....
After a long cold, my DD has learnt that mummy?s throat pastilles are not sweets they are for a sore throat so she wouldn?t touch them. Fine except I hadn?t realised she didn?t understand the phrase "sore throat" and thought it meant everything that was only for grown ups. When at a friends house she was playing upstairs in the bedrooms, she and her little friend come down with toy bowls and spoons and loads of unwrapped tampax in them "for our sore throats"....took a bit of explaining and they were very disappointed when we were reluctant to pretend to eat them!

This really did happen to a friend - not me!! With her ds aged 5 in superdrug, seeing her buy tampons - loudly to the whole queue "are those the things you put up your bottom mummy" - she died!!

haha nice 'thread' .

My DD (2) had a fascination with sanitary pads a few months back, she said I was wearing nappies, and insisted on helping herself to one or 10 at every opportunity - they were stuck all over the house, and DD . It was a good giggle .
