ds is 2.6

Bibs - use v occasionally if eating something v mucky
Bed - still in his cotbed, and v happy he is too
Pushchair - use v occasionally
Chair - out of highchair and using booster seat at about 22 months
Holding hand - he's never been keen on hand-holding but will walking along busy road

mummyhill · 20/07/2006 09:28

DD aged 4 and DS aged 10months.

Never really used bibs with either as it just adds to washing pile.

DD went into a bed at 2. DS will probably be about the same age.

DD stoped using the pushchair at three although went through a phase when the baby was born of wanting to get back in it. DS will again probably be the same age.

DD out of highchair and using a small table and chair set from elc at 2.5 she can manage at a normal dinning table by kneeling on the chair.

DD has never been keen on hand holding or pushchair holding but will do by a main road especially if I tell her that it is either that or a set of reins.

trinityrhino · 20/07/2006 09:41

dd1 (6)
I've never been very good at remembering bibs

2 1/2

3

2 1/2

she stills does sometimes

vwkombi · 15/10/2009 13:14

Still using pelican bibs and is 8.5

vwkombi · 15/10/2009 13:22

O and still uses a highchair and buggy

sugardumpling · 15/10/2009 13:25

stopped using bibs - as soon as DD could pull them off which she always did, so kind of just gave up with them
cot to bed - about 2
stop using pushchair- DD has just turned 3 and we still use it on occasion but only if we are going to be walking far, or if she's tired.
sits on normal chair- about 2 1/2
hold hands- DD hates holding my hand and only does when forced ie if we are crossing the road of course, but funnily enough my DS (who is 10) still holds my hand when he's not thinking about it

NeedCoffee · 15/10/2009 13:36

DD2 has just turned 2

I still use bibs most of the time
She moved at about 20-21 months to a bed after climbing out the cot
I still try to use the pushchair but most of the time she refuses and wants to walk
She sits on a booster seat on a normal dining chair, refused the high chair months ago
Still holds hands.

alwayslookingforanswers · 15/10/2009 13:40

Stop holding hand, DS1 about 3, DS2 about same age, DS3 N/A

UniS · 16/10/2009 20:03

...stop using bibs? 2 and a bit - he was very dribbly and used subtle bandana style bibs from 18months ish

Move from cot to bed? 2 , when he broke the cot by jumping on it.

Stop using pushchair? around 3rd birthday ,but still used bike trailer for long distance

sit on a normal dining chair to eat? 2.9 ish

stop holding your hand when out? Its been random from the word go, for much of being 2 he would not hold a hand unless forced so I didn't push it unless in a car park, now at 3.6 he chooses to holds hands most of the time.

hazeyjane · 16/10/2009 20:09

stop using bibs? apart from soup - 18 months-ish

Move from cot to bed? dd1-2 dd2-18 months

Stop using pushchair? still using (dd1- 3.7 dd2-2.5)

sit on a normal dining chair to eat? 18 months-ish

stop holding your hand when out? still doing for both

ChasingSquirrels · 16/10/2009 20:11

...stop using bibs? - don't remember

Move from cot to bed? - ds1: 2y3m / ds2: 2y5m

Stop using pushchair? - ds1: 2y3m / ds2: around 3y

sit on a normal dining chair to eat? - ds1: around 3 / ds2: still using a booster at 3y9m

stop holding your hand when out? - ds1: can't remember / ds2: never would!

suzi2 · 18/10/2009 13:44

...stop using bibs? DS 18 months at a guess? DD took hers off at a year but recently came back to the idea at 2.5yrs.

Move from cot to bed? DS 20 months, DD just past 2.

Stop using pushchair? DS 3yrs, DD 2yrs ish.

sit on a normal dining chair to eat? DS 2yrs, DD 1yr (stubborn little thing!)

stop holding your hand when out? Both still hand hold as required. DD (2.5) most of the time, DS (4) given a little more freedom.

StealthPolarBear · 18/10/2009 13:46

this thread is 3yo! I doubt the OP is still worried

TheFoosa · 18/10/2009 13:51

got very excited seeing malorytowers then

UniS · 18/10/2009 18:18

OP may not care, but I've found it interesting to see the range.

MumofJTM · 19/10/2009 13:00

DS (aged 2 and 2 months) still in rubber pelican bibs - eats out of bib if it falls in or scoops yoghurt out with his spoon!

Cot to bed: 18 months ish - still use bed barrier rail thing cos he's a bit of a wriggler

Stopped using pushchair about 2 yrs

Sits in highchair but sits up to the table, not with tray.

Will just about hold hands if a car comes (he doesn't like the noise so hurls himself into the hedge anyway!) OK to hold hands for crossing roads.

MumofJTM · 19/10/2009 13:04

Will check dates on all future additions!

BarrysMum · 30/10/2009 11:45

vwkombi - do bugger off, there's a love.

BloodRedTulips · 30/10/2009 12:19

got very confused when i saw greensleeves say her ds1 was 3.10... took me a few seconds to realise!

still going to post mine as i do love a good list

stop using bibs? -
dd about 1,
ds1 about 8 months
ds2 - only lasted a few weeks.
the boys were both self feeders and i found the bibs were adding to the washing but not protecting them so not worth it

Move from cot to bed?
dd - close to 3 we moved house when she was 2.5 so didn't want to buy a bed to add to the stuf we had to move and then it took us a while to afford one once we had moved (actually mol bought it for her in the end)
ds1 - a few weeks before he was 2
ds2 - 8 months and we're still trying to encourage him into the cot, not even thinking about him coming out of it yet

Stop using pushchair?
dd - 18 month except for the odd occasion, i had no double and ds2 was too heavy to sling so i needed it for him

sit on a normal dining chair to eat?
dd - around 22 months, ds2 was going to need the highchair soon so we thought it best to get her used to the table.
ds1 - around the same age, maybe a bit younger as he was huge and it became a squeeze.
ds2 - still in it

stop holding your hand when out
dd - is almost 5 and still holds my hand across roads and in areas i'm wary of like car parks and narrow roads
ds1 - is 3 and occasionally allowed to walk without hand holding in places i consider very safe
ds2 - only just starting to walk

Sunshinemummified · 30/10/2009 12:31

...stop using bibs? 2

Move from cot to bed? 2

Stop using pushchair? Still using it occasionally at 3.6 (we have a P&T as I have a 14m old as well)

sit on a normal dining chair to eat? 2.5, although he has a Stokke chair which is higher up for him

stop holding your hand when out? still holds my hand to cross the road but has never really held my hand all the time anyway

Stigaloid · 30/10/2009 12:32

stop using bibs? Around 16 months although will have one on if eating soup or custard to save on clothes!

Move from cot to bed? The safety listings on most cots say that when a toddler is 91 cm they should be moved from cot to toddler bed/big bed. This was 2 for our DS

Stop using pushchair? still in one

sit on a normal dining chair to eat? 2yo

stop holding your hand when out? still does

DS is 2.4

crokky · 30/10/2009 12:48

mine are 3.7 and 1.7

I stopped bibs before they were both 1. I hate bibs! If I am going to wash a bib, I might as well wash a tshirt insetad!

Cot to bed - both have found their way into our bed by 15m!!! The cot is now used as a bedguard!!

Still use pushchairs for both, not all the time, but still do.

Sit on normal chair - 3.4 ish

Both must still hold hands/be on reins.

RGPargy · 30/10/2009 12:56

...stop using bibs? DD has been refusing to wear bibs since about 18 months (she's 22 months now)

Move from cot to bed? Still in her cot bed - and will be as long as possible!!

Stop using pushchair? We hardly use it because i normally use a sling. Very rarely i will use the pushchair and usually it's because DP is with me and wants to push her in it (bless him).

sit on a normal dining chair to eat? She does now, but it normally ends in disastrous eating so i generally coax her back into her booster seat.

stop holding your hand when out? Still holding on tight to that slippery little toddler who will bolt at the first sniff of freedom from mummy's grasp - and that's only from my front gate to the car!! I think with DS he was about 7 or 8. I know he held my hand for ages and it was lovely. But then he stopped being mummy's little soldier and hasn't been since! (he's 19.5 years old now!)
