Pah.

my ds2 (9 weeks) can project the contents of his stomach acroos the bed, but only onto clean bedding.

Now that's Gifted and Talented.

He said his first word today.

it was "Gllrrgggk!"

It is a word.

themoon66 · 24/06/2006 20:37

Enid.... My DS got himself right across the lounge on his tummy at 8 weeks too. He is now getting A* in year 10 exams. On the down side, he is a lazy little arse who only does the minimum to get by coz he knows he can get away with it.

Have alovely life with your smart little cookie, but dont let her get complacent.

colditz · 24/06/2006 20:38

Actually, on that subject, when ds1 was abot 9 weeks old, i bumped into someone I was in hospital with. She was very insistane that her (9 weeks premature) ds had tried to say "I love you, Mummy"

I was a bit woried about her, but she seemed sane enough in all other respects.

colditz · 24/06/2006 20:40

insistant!

SoupDragon · 24/06/2006 20:41

Ah, but BabyDragon has been able to materialise out of nowhere from the moment she was born.

Enid · 24/06/2006 20:41

that has made me rofl

lol colditz

colditz · 24/06/2006 20:44

it was so strange!

The way she dropped it into conversation, as if it was a perfectly normal thing for a gestationally 0 day old baby to do! I didn't challange her on it either, in a way i wish I had, but what would it have achieved? She would have thought I was merely very jealous

roisin · 24/06/2006 20:49

Hope your dds1&2 are gifted&talented at keeping an eye on her then, and catching her when she crawls off the bed/sofa/stairs ... etc

Enid · 24/06/2006 20:49

I would have just nodded sloooooowly and kindly

"yes of course she does"

OP posts:
Enid · 24/06/2006 20:50

lol roisin

It is actually a PITA as she loves being on her tummy but cannot leave her like it

ah you see I am finally understanding the stress and worry that comes with a genius child

Mine has been turnin himself round in circles from about 8 weeks... does that make him G&T or just dizzy?

well on Saturday night at about 11pm there was a lot of wriggling and grunting , followed by two soft thumps. Dd3 had pushed herself across the bed, pushed the pillow off with her head and fallen out onto it. She was looking up at me with a very surprised expression.

She is now safely in a cot and sleeping bag

FlameBoo · 26/06/2006 09:43

I have a very odd child... he stays in one place on the bed, but crawls round his cot so that either his head is squashed and it hurts, or he is sideways in it and his legs stick out the bars!!!

Your DD is definately G&T though - she even thought to take her pillow with her to land on

wilbur · 26/06/2006 10:03

Excellent enid - she sounds like she'll be ready for the 2012 Olympics - you now just have to teach her the Fosbury (sp?) to go with her flop. Ds2 (10 months) did something similar last week, he managed to surf off his change table, using the change mat as a board, headfirst into his laundry basket. It's funny now....
