dd has HUGE feet-size 13 at 6yrs old

What on earth will they be in the future?!

I am a size 9 heaven help her

DS1 ,who is 8, is size 13. He started the school year as a 12.5 and DS2 ,who is 5 is size 9 and has been in the same shoes all school year! Is this normal or do I have some sort of small footed freaKs? All your children seem alot bigger!

My DD is 13 and wears a size 6. I think her feet have now stopped growing as she has been the same size for over a year now.

My DS is 9 and wears a size 13, but then he is fairly small built.

My DD2 is 4 and wears a size 12.5, only half a size smaller than her brother who is 4.5 years older.

I have trouble finding age appropriate shoes for the 4 year old. She is the typical shoe size of a 8-9 year old.

Do you all know your kids shoe sizes without checking? I'd have to go and have a look to find out!

DS is 5 and a size 10 - on the small side.
DD is almost 2 and a 5.5 - about average.

Kids feet definitely seem to be getting bigger. My DD was 5 in March and she is size 13.5. She's very tall for her age.

ds1 is 2.9 and size 9 (not too bad) and ds2 is 16 months and size 6! (quite big i think!) dh and i both have big feet - he takes a 12 but is 6ft 3" and I take and 8 but am only 5ft 5"

DS1 is 8 and has (adult) size 5 feet, he's tall though 135cm iirc
DS2 is my 'Mr Average', dead on the 50th centile for everything, he's almost 6 and a size 13.
DD is big like DS1, she's 2.5 and a size 8.5 shoe.

DH is fairly average for a bloke, we're the same height and pretty much the same shoe size which makes me big for a ladyee

Notasheep - I have the same problem with shoes (large 8/8.5) I find that if I find a comfortable pair I tend to wear them for years. Tbh I tend to live in DMs, as 'girly' shoes make me feel like a TV!

Thats not huge. It's normal for her age.

mind you, he was a size 6 at 11 mths

notasheep, I have size 10 feet and it's getting easier finding shoes - still have to find specialist shops but then their selection is pretty good, so don't worry. It's not like you can do anything about it, anyway.
My 6yr dd has the same size as yours, but as dh's feet are smaller than mine she probably won't end up with size 10s.

My dd1 (5 yrs) is a size 13.5 (she is tall for her age tho), and dd2 (3 yrs) is a size 9. My granny (who's 94) always says if you've got big feet you've got a strong grip on the ground (said with strong NE Scotland accent)!?

my firends little girl has just turned 3 and is a size 1!

dsd has size 1 feet, she's 6 and big for her age.

I guess I have the freaky small footed sons then!

Ds (6.5) takes a size 11.5 or 12 (depending style, both Startrite though)

DD1 (5) takes 10.5, She is below average height and weight but with long narrow feet.

DD2 (2) takes a size 5 and has high instep and narrow ankle (I hate shoe shopping for her)

I'm 5 ft 1.5 and take a size 4, very wide feet though ( unlike my babies)
DH is 5ft 10 and takes a 10
His sister, however is 5 ft 4 and takes a size 8 !!!

Who knows what they will be like in future.
Probably all mishaped despite spending more than I care to imagine on decent fitted shoes. Mr Startrite must be a very rich man !!!!!

Ds aged 11 has size 10 mens

More tall ladies!! Hooray! 6ft 2" and size 9!! Wouldn't worry about being able to get big shoes, it is a million times easier than it was when i was first a size 9 which was at 13 I'm now 35!

DD is 3 and 9-9.5 which I think is big her shoes look big for her size but I think she will be tall like me tho still average(ish) height at mo.

ds almost two. Wears size 6f. No idea what's normal.

DS is just 5 and was a 12.5 at Xmas, it's nearly time for new shoes and am expecting him to need at least a 13. He's quite big for his age.

My ds1 is 12 and is an adult size 9
Ds2 is only just 11 and is an adult size 10. His school want me to find plimsolls for him to do PE in but I have searched everywere and have never yet found any so they make him do PE in bare feet.

Been reading all this and am confused as to what is classed as "kids size" and "adult size". My ds (4) is size 9-12 in socks, but they're now tight, and size 9 in shoes. Shoes aren't really tight yet. How are the sizes grouped after "9-12" in socks and after "kids size 13" in shoes? Are they "adult size" after a 13 or not? I'm an adult size 5 (used to be 3-4 till I had kids), dd is age 2 and takes kid size 5, but they're getting tight now, soon be a 6.

My ds is 13 at 6 years of age. On the bigger side of normal, but by no means an exception I would say. He is tall (like mum and dad).

Tall ladies: If you ever go for a weekend break to Holland (or indeed a holiday) take advantage of the average size of people there and stock up on clothes/shoes. Shoe size 8 is pretty much standard and 9 can be found as well in quite a few shops.
