Got an 18mo (or thereabouts) and want to swap war stories

What an interesting age! DD is either really sunny, eating like a horse being hilarious or refusing food and clinging like a limpit. I can see why there are so many toddler taming books out there now.

Today, I think we're back in the teething phase and I can't put her down to make a cup of tea. Not complaining mind, just be reassuring to hear any similar stories and any top tips. I'd hit the gin but I'm also 11wks pregnant with DC2. Why, I ask myself, why?

Ha. DS2 is 18 m and also a shoe fetishist! He loves my silver ballet pumps best but also enjoys shuffling round in daddy's work shoes. Asking him to sit still for shoes on is quite sweet, as it's one of the few times he's nicely compliant and holds his feet out for me!

He doesn't talk yet (at all...) and doesn't gesture, so it's tricky working out what he wants sometimes. He's an affectionate little puppy though, climbs up onto my lap for cuddles.

Well did I get a shock at 6:30 this morning.

Ds2 was moaning to be for up for his morning milk as usual. Except when I wet in his room he wasn't in his cot!

Cue frantic "where is he" moment.
Then i realised he was pushing past me on his way, speedily, to my bed! Apparently we can now escape our cot!
