If your child was a World Champion in something, what would it be?

I think this is in the right category for this thread ... it is to do with behaviour and development ...

DS has mastered the fine art of the "Underarm Fart" ... He got the film 'Robots' for Christmas and then has spent the last 2 weeks fine tuning his fart noise skills.

I am sure if there was a World Championship for Underarm Fart Noises my incredibly gifted son would be in the running for the gold medal.

Sigh ... I am so proud

The funny thing is I don't "get" Laztyown at all - maybe because ds won't ever let me watch it, but it's just so strange and what is that song all about "No-one's lazy in Lazytown" - then why is it called Lazytown??? [puzzled].

onefootinthegravy · 10/01/2006 11:25

Saadia, I'm am lucky enough to be allowed to watch Lazytown with my dd, oh what joy! It seems to be a place where sporticus is the hero and gets everyone to be healthy and active, but robbie rotten is the baddie and tries to get the kids to sit around all day eating junk food.

I agree with Arabica it would be hilarious to see them all playing Laytown together, but I'm afraid my dd would accept no other role than sporticus!! I have been relegated to miss busybody, if you've ever seen it, not very flattering she resembles Miss Slogan from are you being served!!!

Thanks for shedding light on that onefoot..that explains why ds is constantly running around and jumping off sofas and asking for apples. I think all LT fans would want the Sporticus role, ds gets offended if we call him anything else and he also goes all coy whenever "the pink girl" is mentioned.

The other funny thing is that in his anticipation of Lazytown he also sits through Angelina Ballerina.

dst1 aged 4 misprounouncing King of the World (for example "I'm Luke, I'm fine and my dad's a bee, drives me round in his Ceebeebee." This despite knowing the proper words! See also Chazzie and Moma.)

dst2 farting, really loudly, then looking proud. Definitely champion pumper!

Differentiating between the 99% identical and 100% boring Peter Sam, Sir Handel, Skarloey and Duncan engines.

Chattering and singing non-stop and doing jigsaw puzzles aimed at 2 years above her age group

Orinoco, my dst can be silver and bronze then as this is a favourite word too, although thankfully not that often and usually accompanied by poopoohead daddy!

DH not impressed.
