Hello my name is Libby. Married to Andy we have 4 children and are expecting our 5th in November (how did that happen) I have posted this with help from my dear friend and wondered if you could help me.

WE found naming all our children really easy, in fact we liked so many names that we were spoilt for choice but for some reason all of us are stumpted. Not keen on our youngest's suggestion of Milo or Fizz haha!

Can anyone help, we currently have a Henri, Cecily, Violetta and a Mimi (actual name Annone)

I don't like very modern names I prefer quite old fashioned but don't mind if they are quite well used if you know what I mean. I quite like Constance for a girl and Hugo for a boy but my hubby detests those. Typical!

I have been reading threads for quite a while now and felt compelled to post one myself as we are having such a hard time in agreeing anything.
Many thanks in advance

oh like Olivia too but DD's cousins have called their rabbit that

Tabs when are you due are you finding out what you are having, maybe we will have 2 Elliots

Luckily my DD's initials are ASR

Leogaela · 10/08/2005 17:20

If ds was a girl he was going to be Ella Sofie!
I also like Rose or Rosa.
Boys names are more difficult. We liked Maxim and Toby but Niklas topped the list!

Tabs · 10/08/2005 17:48

sweetkitty - you def are me! Olivia is on our list too, but DH has good friend with daughter called that. Our top remaining girl's choice is in MascaraOHara's list too - can you guess what it is?!

I'm due beginning of Feb - you're Jan aren't you?

sweetkitty · 10/08/2005 18:13

BarefootMama · 10/08/2005 18:15

jibberjabber · 11/08/2005 22:22

clary · 11/08/2005 22:54

libyss I love yours, esp cecily and florence.
gabriel is nice, I also love Mabel (but no-one agrees with me).
My "unused" names are Florence Agnes (if ds2 had been a girl).
Wino2, I have a fred! Am I trendy?

Linnet · 11/08/2005 23:06

Libyss, Calista is an old Greek name, means beautiful, that's my dd2's name.
there is also Calliope, pronounced Ka-Lie-oh-pay, I love that name and wanted to call dd1 that but dh and everyone else didn't like it

Felicity
Poppy
Daisy
Esme
Beatrice-my granny's name becomming very popular again.

Felix
Caleb-hebrew name if dd2 had been a boy that would have been the name.
Eli
Lucas
Issac

What does everyone think of the name 'Rudie' or 'Rudy'... for a girl? My partner and I both love it but other than the wee girl who used to star in the Cosby Show, I dont know of any other female Rudie's as it seems to appear everywhere else as a shortened version of Rudolph!

I also like Elliot but I think if its a boy we are going to go with Ellis Andrew, after my grandad although my man wants us to call our boy Ellis Andrew William Raymond (Billy Ray!!) - (hes a huge fan of the film Trading Places with Eddie Murphy)... (I dont think so!)

We also liked French-sounding names too like Amelie or Sylvie.

Tinker · 12/08/2005 10:35

Like Rudy...for a boy I'm afraid.
