I like the name itself, however paedophile connotations nix it for me I'm afraid. Can't stand that little girl would have to go through life with that name.

I met a Jezebel once. Lolita is a very pretty name but the connotations make it a no-no. Are you sure your friend isn't winding you up?? (i.e. telling everyone Lolita now and then when she's born she's given a different name?)

very sexualised as in, the sex industry. has the air of a stripper/lap dancer. But amazingly a lot of people are not put off by that! maybe they think it's cool. Maybe they will get their child a boob job for its 16th birthday.

I have an Eastern European friend called Lilita, often shortened to Lil and it's a nice name.
