Anyone know any sweet sounding Japanese girls names?

Or boys for that matter.

We have a Mika (maternal great grandmothers name) and a Jack (paternal grandfathers name) and we have shortlisted James and Ruby for DC3.

Have looked at Google list of Japanese baby names and nothing really stood out.

Any suggestions would be great.

addicted, Kairi is an extended version of Kai, which means Ocean. (In Hawaiian as well as Japanese!)

As for some more suggestions of Japanese girl names, how about:

Megumi
Reina
Yuna

I like Hana/Hannah chan, Reina chan and Saya chan.
For me they all sound very soft and gentle names - which I like.

My flatmate's baby was called Megumi, which she told me was the Japanese translation of Amy or "beloved".

My flatmate's names was Chiharu by the way. Not sure it's as sweet at Megumi.

I don't know why but I love Hiromi. Maybe because we have a sweet girl at work with this name!
