Pronunciation and Nick names for Aurelia

As those who have been helping me thru my name-pain on my 'frilly girls name' thread will know, my DH suddenly did a U-turn last week and said he was considering Aurelia (my fave girl's name) but I wasn't to nag and beg him mention it to him about it until he's had a chance to ponder it. Unbelievably, I've managed not to say a word about it but I plan to later today . Hopefully, my hopes won't be dashed!

Anyway, I thought I'd get myself all prepared in case it's a goer.

I've heard/read of at least three pronuncations of the name, it doesn't seem as though there's one correct version, as it appears to be pronounced differently in different countries. I can't decide whether I prefer:

Or-Rell-Ia (rel to rhyme with bell)

Or-Ray-Lia

Thoughts?

Also, I was initially struggling for nick names but depending on the pronunciation, some of these could be ok.

Aury
Aura
Rels
Ray/Raya
Lia

Thoughts?

Thank you (and wish me luck!)

Most English speaking people would say Aur-ee-liah for this spelling as it is historically spoken this way unless you are of Latin descent. This way seems more old fashioned and more english to me. But it is personal preference.
I prefered the Au-ray-liah pronunciation and so spell it Auralia to avoid any confusion and also prefer the spelling. It also has aura in it and I like the light connection as my daughtwr is named moon in Spanish as my husband works in Astro physics so it suits us.

I know an Aurelia nicknamed Goldie. (the name means golden)

We considered it for our DD and she would have been Auri for short most likely. I also love Raya though. We almost called her Soraya nn Raya.

And I would say Aur-ay-lee-ah
