Rosa

Ondine · 14/01/2010 21:24

I always think Daisy is a bit overly sweet and twee for a grown up.

I'd certainly prefer to be called Rosa as a 30 year woman. It's a nice balance of feminine but not cute.

MrsMattie · 14/01/2010 21:27

Rosa is beautiful.

maxpower · 14/01/2010 21:30

Daisy - unless you're mediterranean, then I'd go for Rosa

Lilyloo · 14/01/2010 21:31

I like Daisy but agree not sure how it sounds from teen/woman perspective so would be more inclined to go with Rosa i think.

Hulababy · 14/01/2010 21:31

Daisy.

I prefer Rose to Rosa.

Lolbilly · 14/01/2010 21:32

Rosa! It's my favourite girls name and was top of my list had my little one been a girl.

liliputlady · 14/01/2010 21:36

Both lovely, but Rosa is less used and really classy and beautiful IMO.

VerityBrulee · 14/01/2010 21:37

Rosa, if I ever have another dd she will be Rosa

midnightexpress · 14/01/2010 21:39

Rosa: less common and very lovely. I know a gorgeous little Rosa, so I'm a bit biased.

oohIsay · 14/01/2010 22:15

This is good. Rosa is my favourite =D

Daisy... My 6yr old is Daisy
Although Rosa is also lovely!

beccagrace2 · 14/01/2010 22:48

i prefer rosa

BunnyLebowski · 14/01/2010 22:48

Definitely Rosa. It's pretty, feminine and elegant.

Although I used to think Daisy would be my girls name I now think it's overused and very sickly particularly on an adult.

hf128219 · 14/01/2010 22:49

Daisy is beautiful!

Rosa definitely. Daisy cute on a little girl, silly on a grown-up x

thumbwitch · 15/01/2010 02:24

I like both, but probably prefer Rosa.

Having said that, Daisy is an accepted diminuitive for Margaret (or even Marguerite if you have French leanings) So if you really wanted to give her the "grown up" option later, you could name her officially Margaret and call her Daisy until she is old enough to make up her own mind about which to use. She might go into a profession that the name Daisy suits (fashion designer springs to mind); or she might not.

Rosa.

Daisy's a bit skippity and cutesy.

Skegness · 15/01/2010 07:18

Rosa. Because of Parks and Luxemburg. And better across lifespan as others have said. Great name.

randomimposter · 15/01/2010 07:24

totally agree with Skegness and the inspirations she has named...
have always loved Rosa, now leaning towards Rosanna a bit more..

PheasantPlucker · 15/01/2010 07:30

Rosa

boodleboot · 15/01/2010 11:07

Rosa i think...altho i agree it doesn't seem 'enough' almost...
