Bunty

Have popped across from another board and name changed (as I think this may be an unusual one) to ask for the verdict on Bunty.

I want to use this as a full stand alone name, not short for anything.
I knew a genteel elderly lady named Bunty when I was a girl, so this has been a positive influence.

Wasn't this the name of Tray's mum in Sex and the City? You know, the bloke that married Charlotte and couldn't perform??

IIRC, she was a battle axe! I like the name though.

As soon as I saw the title, I also thought Cunty Bunty.

Well, clearly it's coming back then. I just don't get this one. For me, the names of fondly remembered people are a fantastic thing to use as a middle name. I'm afraid I think, and have always thought, that this is an ugly word. But if you love it without reservation, use it of course.

We used to call DD "Bunty" for a nickname when she was younger. I think she would hate it now.
