Baby names

Looking for unusual (but not weird!) girls names!

Currently 36 weeks with a 90% certain girl...

DS is called Benjamin, although we only ever call him Ben.

We wouldn't mind going a little bit more off-piste with DD's name though.

So far the only name we both really like is Keira / Kyra, but we feel we'd like to explore the full availability of what's out there!

Definitely don't want a Grace / Evie / Lily / Madison type name, and not at all keen on the retro olde-worlde names like Margaret / Esme / Bridget.

I'd love to be cheeky enough to take names from fantasy books I like, but not sure I could get away with it... Names like Danyal (would always end up being called Daniel though...) Arya, Raven, etc, but it needs to be a really good one!

Any ideas?

Love the suggestions - thanks for all your help!!

I like Anya, but DH not so keen.

We both like both Kiah and Xia.

I like Arwyn, but it's generally a boy's name in Welsh, and Rowan will always be a boy's name to me!

Seren we also love, but that's pretty much reserved as a middle name! I'm Welsh, so we like our children to have Welsh middle names

I may have to have a trawl through some of my fantasy books and find some of the less obvious names. Names like Eowyn and Arwen are gorgeous, BUT do scream "I'm a hippie!"
