What do you think of the name AGNES?

I love the name Agnes, but is it too old-fashioned and fusty? Will it cause ridicule in the playground?

This baby will be heading off to secondary school soon so probably has a name

The archaic form of Agnes was Annis, which I prefer. No trouble pronouncing that and sounds similar to the French pronounciation of Agnes.
I personally dislike Agnes’s purely because of the harsh sounding G.

I think it’s taking the old lady trend too far. It’s a really harsh sound and not pleasing to the ear imo

Hate it. It was my granny's name. She disliked it so much she used her second name. Which was Gladys. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

I quite like it
