What do you think of Connor?

MrsBoo · 24/02/2009 18:32

Ok, but very popular where I come from (is also sometimes spelt with just one n)

random · 24/02/2009 18:33

I like it

cikecaka · 24/02/2009 18:36

Love it, was our name for DD3 if she had been a boy

dontgive2shoites4daftpricks · 24/02/2009 18:37

I used to like it. Then DD went to a pre-school and the big, bullish boy there who was mean and hit the other kids was called Connor. It's coloured it a bit for me.

expelliamus · 24/02/2009 18:53

Connor's are nearly always naughty

RedOnHerHead · 24/02/2009 18:55

I know quite a few connor's - i used to like it, but it became to common popular.

2pt4kids · 24/02/2009 18:55

Nice

Jackstini · 24/02/2009 18:56

I like it but know a lot - at least 4 under 5 I can think of

PandaG · 24/02/2009 18:58

no strong opinion either way. wouldn't choose it myself, but don't actively dislike it either.

wotulookinat · 24/02/2009 19:10

It's ok. In fact, it's nice.

PestoMonster · 24/02/2009 19:11

I don't
sorry

sorry don't like it

Nighbynight · 24/02/2009 19:29

Like it. Would assume the person had irish connections.

abraid · 24/02/2009 19:30

I like it for people with Irish connections but it's one of those very Irish names that doesn't work as well, for me, for non-Irish people.

janeite · 24/02/2009 19:31

I don't like it, sorry.

NorktasticNinja · 24/02/2009 19:33

Don't like it, or any other surname type first names TBH.

But you MUST go with what you love.

LittleMissBliss · 24/02/2009 19:35

Its ok, not a choice i'd use myself but a nice name. I know a Connor he's irish and a nice Lad.

MrsMattie · 24/02/2009 19:36

I like the name in itself, but it is incredibly common. I have two cousins called Connor, there is a Connor on our road and a Connor at DS's nursery. Not sure if I'd personally use a name that was that popular (for instance, I like Joshua and Dylan, but every other boy we know seems to have those names, so would never use them). Definitely a name with Irish connotations, yes.

schneebly · 24/02/2009 19:37

nice enough name but very popular I think.

differentID · 24/02/2009 19:37

I quite like it- it's in the same sort of bracket for me as Calum and Cameron. Nice, but not my sort of thing.

IloveBrucie · 24/02/2009 19:39

Don't like it, simply because one of the dcs is in the same year as one who is horrible!

I'm sure your Connor will be lovely

WinkyWinkola · 24/02/2009 19:48

The two teachers I know - who work in separate schools - say that they are very wary of children named Connor in their classes.......I think they've been labelled trouble makers.

Of course, your Connor could use that to his advantage by being a complete angel in class!

duchesse · 24/02/2009 19:48

Don't like it. Sorry. It's not my baby though- you must call him whatever you want.

duchesse · 24/02/2009 19:49

I agree with the Callum/ Connor/ Cameron thing- they do seem unusually spirited in a classroom situation. My nephew is I think no exception (and fwiw I really dislike his name).
