Names that could have Dolly as a short form

I love the name Dolly, but feel it's too cute to be a full name - there would need to be an official/grown-up name. However, I'm not keen on Dolores or Dorothy. Are there any other names for which could reasonably have Dolly as a short form?

you can call her Dolly with any name

Polly is better, Holly, even Molly, Milly, Tilly, Sally etc.

Daniela with Dolly for short as a private family nn is bearable.

Dolly is a cutesey nickname, not a proper name. She could be very embarrassed as a teenager/adult to feel that this is her only name.
There seems to be a real glut of Tilly/Milly/Ellie/Molly etc at the moment, but I think Dolly is even worse!

If meanings of names are important to you (and they are to many people) then yes, steer clear of Dolores too.

Liffey - I know it's cutesy and insubstantial! That's why I want a more sensible and adult name.

Delilah or Delia might work though.

Theodora is also a possibility, also thinking along those lines - Isadora, Pandora, Eudora.

Actually it makes me think of Dolly the sheep.

Dolores means 'sorrowful' which isn't a great meaning to have bestowed on you.

How about Doriane? Doralia?

Dorian is a boys name. Is Doriane just a made up female version?

I've just come across Medora, which is growing on my. It's the name of a character from Byron's "The Corsair".

Pandora makes me think of Adrian Mole.
