Thats nice SHiny. Personally I prefer the more usual spelling, but any more Aidans/Aidens/Aydans in the world is good for me.
I means "a flame: firey" and is after St Aidan, who came from Ireland to Iona to Northumbria to convert the pagan English. St Aidan was a great bloke. It was said of him :
""He neither sought nor loved anything of this world, but delighted in distributing immediately to the poor whatever was given him by kings or rich men of the world."
