What happened to calling children names which are suitable from birth through to adulthood?

I mean come on, get a grip.

well think of a Prime Minister called 'Molly' or even a 40 year old

my own opinion names like Molly, Wendy, Jenny are for little girls

lol Ilyus sounds far to much like Ileus (which is the medical term for a bloackage of the intestines)

admittedly, originally we had the name Melina picked, should ds 2 have been a girl....until some of the nurses I worked with mentioned that it reminded them of Melaena (blood in stool)...HMMMM...PUT ME RIGHT OFF, lol

oh perhaps that's why ilyus sounded familiar.

but lilly...I may well could imagine the Pm being called Wilfred, I would still think it's an ugly name(sorry to all those that like the name).....

Ooh - was watching 'Who do you think you are' with Patsy Kensit last night, and one of her ancestors' daughters was called 'Cestria' - I thought that was quite a pretty name, but not sure you'd get away with it these days.

cestria???? reminds me of kestrel a bit.

After a very quick google, Cestria may have something to do with the city of Chester. Still a pretty sounding name, imo.
