Any thoughts on the name "Laurel" for a girl?

Really like it, but wonder if it will be confused with Lauren which I don't like as much?

I like it. Also Wilow (although that is my friend's dog's name!) and Lara.

I really like Laurel. It's so much more beautiful than Lauren. Lauren is ok, but I could never understand why Lauren was chosen over Laurel and not the other way 'round.

I know two sisters in their early forties called Laurel and Briony. Their brother is Rowan!!

Indeed means many lovely things, from latin for bay leaf I think. associated with honour (crown of) and achievement and not something to be rested on

Laurel has the same meaning as Daphne bay leaf
