This has been growing on me lately and I don't think it's too common nowadays - any thoughts?

Only problem is that our surname is George - is Jane George a bit of a mouthful?

and which spelling do you prefer?

Definitely without the Y if you do go for it.

But I do agree with whoever said you need at least two syllables for a one syllable surname. Our surname is also one syllable, DH has a one syllable first name as well and it's not good I don't think.

We eliminated any one syllable names on our list for DS for that reason.

I have no less than THREE aunts called Jane, and it's my middle name, tis popular in our family

I think it's nice, and def without the Y. Extra Y's in the middle of names really bug me, very unnecessary.

Glad so many people like it - but I tend to agree that Jane George is a bit harsh

any names that could be shortened to Janet - don't like Janet.
