Is Sunday a bad girl name?

I know Sunday is an odd name and I know it’s been gaining a bit more popularity over the past year but I really like the name Sunday especially with just the meaning of like a Sunday morning kind of beauty and the nickname Sunny. I’m not too sure I’m on the fence with it due to how some people would react to naming my daughter after a day of the week?? opinions?

First time I heard this, i honestly thought she said Sunday Roast! 😂 thought it was a terrible name.

I went to school with a Joy she was really a miserable girl it was a big name to live up to.

The only Sunday I’ve met is a man. From a deeply religious family.

Sunday...the day of doom when you realise the weekend is over and you have work the next day.

Makes me think of that Sunday night feeling of dread before you go back to work on Monday. Also ice cream sundaes! Summer is nicer, I think.

It’s awful. It wouldn’t have the same connotations for everyone else as it does for you. (But I don’t like Sunny either.) I think it would be unfair to saddle a child with either of those.

That says considerably more about you needing to get a more fulfilling job than whether someone else uses Sunday as a name.

It is, but what normal individual, on encountering a name, rearranges it in their mind to see if it can be made to spell something sexual?

Someone who knows kids can be cruel (especially in secondary schools) so wants to find a name for their child that is innocuous.

I think it’s lovely @ichiha68, great for a baby and an adult too.
