Thanks, I prefer the Elize pronunciation too, is that the more common one in the uk?

I'd say Eleese, personally (the one I know is pronounced like that) but not sure which is more prevalent.

I have a Libby, she is 18.5 and her name is short for Liberty. It was not of my choosing as she is adopted and it is the name gifted to her by her birth parents. I used to hate Liberty but it has grown on me, as has Libby. My AD1 says she loves her names and she/we have only ever really associated with one other Libby, who was a year older at her high school.

In the UK, I think Elise rhymes with fleece.

Marnie - I really like
Libby - love it
Elise - this is in the top 5 names I'd use
Nina - I really like
Keira - not a name I'd choose
Tia - I don't hate it but I wouldn't use it
Heidi - I've never been a big fan of this name for some reason

Elise is of French origin and in French pronounced with a z sound, in English often pronounced Eleece but can use whichever you prefer. I prefer the French way.

I love Elise.

I love Nina there was a beautiful Iranian girl in my school called Nina. So to me the name wouldn't suit a blonde! I don't like Libby for ir a similar reason, she was mean to me at school!
