Claudia or Daisy?

Hi all- first time I've found/posted on this site and gutted as a bit late (baby due 5/6).

Need some help please, both hubby and I like both these names, hubby slightly prefers Daisy and I think I prefer Claudia but to be honest we like both of them and really cannot decide - getting quite close to due date and we keep changing our minds on which one we will be 100% happy with.
What do you all think - Daisy is more popular (3 in my area) so should this put us off?
Opinions please......
Thanks in advance
Lindsay

Daisy - I have one!

cheesesarnie · 26/05/2008 21:22

ds1 was going to be daisy

dizzydixies · 26/05/2008 21:23

claudia for me

UniversallyChallenged · 26/05/2008 21:23

Daisy is lovely

GreenElizabeth · 26/05/2008 21:23

hmm. hard. I like both, but I prefer Lydia to Claudia. the CLAW sound in claudia is harsh.

I'd say Daisy.

ScaryHairy · 26/05/2008 21:24

Claudia. I think it works better for different ages.

learningallthetime · 26/05/2008 21:25

LOVE Daisy. But DH won't let me - he has an unatuarl aversion to flower names.

I really like primrose as well.
I might get away with one of em as a middle name!

ScoobyDoo · 26/05/2008 21:25

Daisy

bluewolf · 26/05/2008 21:25

Definately Daisy

Pollyanna · 26/05/2008 21:26

Daisy I think.

betterhalf · 26/05/2008 21:27

Claudia.

PInkyminkyohnooo · 26/05/2008 21:27

I think I prefer Claudia, Daisy is a pretty name but Claudia is more serene.

Sidge · 26/05/2008 21:28

I LOVE Claudia.

It was on my list for DD3 I wanted Claudia Rose.

Not keen on Daisy, too little-girl-ish IMO.

Pen74 · 26/05/2008 21:29

Both are beautiful. I vote for Daisy though.

EyeballsintheSky · 26/05/2008 21:29

Claudia definitely, lovely name and not very common.

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/05/2008 21:31

I used to prefer Claudia, but think I prefer Daisy now. It is, however, getting rather popular, so depends whether that bothers you or not. Will you use the runner up as a middle name? If so, I prefer Claudia Daisy to Daisy Claudia.

nkf · 26/05/2008 21:32

Both adorable.

julen · 26/05/2008 21:33

CLaudia - suits grown ups as well, I think.

cazboldy · 26/05/2008 21:34

I like Daisy for a name, but as dh is a dairy farmer I couldn't use it!

hunkermunker · 26/05/2008 21:36

Claudia. Love it.

I can't imagine an adult Daisy. I don't think it's a horrible name, far from it - but my first ragdoll was Daisy and she had little round pink patches sewn onto her cheeks and her hair was made from wool, so actually I have trouble imagining a human called Daisy

Mavornia · 26/05/2008 21:48

Another vote for Daisy, I think it is such a sweet name

However, I don't think it works just as well on an adult - I have some trouble picturing a serious, professional caled Daisy. There is something a bit twee about it

I still love it though

norkmaiden · 26/05/2008 21:50

Daisy

pinkorblue · 26/05/2008 21:55

Both pretty, but I can't imagine an adult Daisy. Claudia is strong but feminine, fab name.

imaginaryfriend · 26/05/2008 21:57

Claudia.

There are so many Daisy's in dd's school and it appears as an animal's name in stacks of stories. Sweet for a 5-year-old girl but not so hot when you're in your 20's and pursuing a career.

Tommy · 26/05/2008 21:58

I love Claudia (have a very good friend called Claudia). Agree with pinkorblue in that Claudia is a strong name. I do wondee about all these girls' names that are around - they are all very pretty but in 25 years time are all these Millies, Mollies, Poppies, Daisies going to be the barristers, doctors, jusges etc? They are all a bit twee IMO
