Please help me find a perfect girl name

Hi :)

So I already have a Samuel, Rose and Elisabeth.

I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant.

They told me at the hospital that it's too early to tell gender, but I saw nothing between the legs on a scan and a nub analysis on the Internet says that it's 80 % a girl.

So based on the names of my existing children, which name would you recommend?

I used to like Florence, but not so much anymore.

Thank you :)

echo others, what dose your DH like? Also agree your current DCs have lovely strong classic names, putting something twee in the mix won’t feel right.

I have a friend with a Samuel and Elizabeth too, their third is Ivy.

If a boy

Christopher
Joseph
Arthur
Edward

Alexandra

I second Alexandra! Elisabeth and Alexandra sounds very regal!

Alternatively, Anna, Alice, Grace, Hannah, Matilda, Madeline, Miriam, Honor, Eleanor, Charlotte, Faith, Catherine (it has a lot of nicknames!), Mariana or Victoria might work (depending on your surname, of course).

Iris would also sound lovely, if you don't mind having two flower names!

Thanks for your suggestions, they are lovely.

My husband rejected every single one of them:(

Then what names has he suggested?
Based on your DC's names, I would also choose something very classic like all the other suggestions.
My first thoughts were Lucy or Catherine but I'm pretty sure those have been suggested.
How about a slightly more unusual classic like Helen, Helena or Celia? Maybe Harriet or Maria.

I think so far I like the name Matilda best.

I also like the fact that it's easy to pronounce in different countries.

I'm not English and it was important for me to pick names for my children that are easy to pronounce in different countries.

This was what also put me off the name Florence.

I think Florence is perfect with Samuel, Rose and Elisabeth. Matilda also works very well with them.

I can't believe your husband rejected all those names! He must be very picky.

I haven't combed through to make sure I'm not repeating but I'm giving some suggestions I'd call unusual but still classic in the hope that some of them might not have come up yet:

Aurelia, Anastasia, Amalia, Ariadne, Alessandra, Antonia, Aurora, Bronte, Cordelia, Calliope, Clarissa, Constance, Diana, Fenella, Georgette, Henrietta, Harmony, Isadora, Isolde, Jacinta, Jocelyn, Larissa, Lorelai, Miranda, Millicent, Melisande, Naomi, Octavia, Persephone, Philippa, Rhiannon, Sorrel, Saskia, Tabitha, Tamara, Vanessa, Verity, Xanthe, Ysanne

Over the weekend I realised I really like the name Helen.

It's classic, elegant, feminine and not too common nowadays.

Would also fit with my other children's names.

But my husband is dead set against it because our next door neighbours infant daughter has that name.

I told him that it doesn't matter as we're not friends with them anyway and only exchange words every few months, but he won't budge. :(

Eliza would go really well with your others or Annie

Too close to Elizabeth, even though they spell it with an "S".

What a shame!
I think Helen is a beautiful name, not ditzy, it won't date, easy to spell etc.
Keep persuading him, it's a classic.
