We have loved Ada for absolute years - we’re leaning towards Ada Sophia or Ada Evangeline however middle name is not set yet so any suggestions would also be helpful!

I love it

Whiteradiatorwithbellson · 27/02/2025 21:16

Ada Evangline

Waterlilysunset · 27/02/2025 21:16

Cute name, know a couple of toddlers

Umbrellah · 27/02/2025 21:17

Lovely name! But may get pronunciation issues abroad. Eg Ay-dah vs A-dah.

cheseandme · 27/02/2025 21:18

Ada is gorgeous .

Yes I agree on this! I realised I’ve replied to all of OPs posts and that it was the same persons posts. All the names are very diff!

MrsSkylerWhite · 27/02/2025 21:20

I immediately think of old ladies but I’m of a certain age.

Umbrellah · 27/02/2025 21:22

Did I read on a previous post you were looking at some Indian origin names too given background? If so, in some Indian dialects Ada can mean uncle. Just flagging.

lenaoi · 27/02/2025 21:23

I don't like it, but I'm a fan of longer names.

NCnora · 27/02/2025 21:24

Do you know about Ava Lovelace? Inspiration.

BotterMon · 27/02/2025 21:25

Isn't she married to Robbie Williams?

SquashedGrape1 · 27/02/2025 21:26

It's not one of my favourites, but it's a perfectly nice name, so if you love it you should go for it.

I like alliteration, so
Ada Aurelia
Ada Alexandra
Ada Alice
Ada Alethea

MiniPumpkin · 27/02/2025 21:26

Its and old name imo. It is nice but as someone else said its an older ladies name for me

ShaunaSadeki · 27/02/2025 21:27

My niece is called Ada, I love it

Ada Evangline

I prefer Adeline instead of Ada Evangeline, you could always shorten it to Ada.

Moreteaandchocolate · 27/02/2025 21:35

I love it! Ada Sophia is gorgeous 😊

AdaColeman · 27/02/2025 21:42

Ada is a lovely name. I prefer Emmeline to Evangeline.

SecondClassmyass · 27/02/2025 21:56

It’s a fairly popular Polish name, short for Adriana

RuthW · 27/02/2025 22:00

A nice name but very popular at the monent

swingandtrampoline · 27/02/2025 22:06

Amazing name

MeganCarter · 27/02/2025 22:15

I think of Ada in The Piano, there is always an association isn’t there -
the only Ada I know now is short for Adelaide Mary and a long surname,
so it all balances.

MrsSkylerWhite · 27/02/2025 21:20

I immediately think of old ladies but I’m of a certain age.

Me too, it brings to mind Ada Larkin...

I think it sounds like a grumpy 70 year old. Really unattractive name imo.

unlikelywitch · 27/02/2025 22:24

It’s a gorgeous name. When I hear it I imagine a beautiful 1920s silent film star. Ada Sophia is beautiful.
