Thoughts on the names Henley or hedley. We live in the UK. Please be really honest.

I used to teach twin boys called Milfred and Hedley...just no OP! Awful!

Henley is ridiculous for a name!

Ignore the thread police OP - if I see repeated posts by the same people and I’m not interested in commenting, then I just ignore them, I’m sure most can manage to do the same.

As for Henley, it’s kind of pointless because virtually everyone hearing it will go “Henry?” despite the famous regatta. Hedley risks oral sex (“head”) jokes as soon as he’s a teenager so I wouldn’t do it personally.

I don’t see why you couldn’t use similar Hadley though - as a unisex “surname as given name” it wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste, but I personally have a soft spot for it and I can’t see any obvious teasing potential.
