Thoughts on the name Rudy

We're due to have a baby boy soon and I've been reaching out for help with names. I've currently fallen for the name Rudy but only like the shortened version, not Ruldoph.
What's people's thoughts on just calling him Rudy as his first full name? I was thinking Oscar as a middle name so if when he is older or maybe wants something more formal/ conventional then he could use that if desired? Thanks :)

My son is called Rudy and we’ve only had positive comments so far! (Although I suppose once we named people are unlikely to say they don’t like it!!!) I was hesitant when DH first suggested it because of the ‘rude’ connotation but now I absolutely love it and I think it’s a cute name for a baby but one that will grow with him

Makes me think of Rudolph Walker who is known as Rudy, and he's the only one I've ever know, so I like it . (I realise I didn't not think I've ever seen it written, so not sure on spelling!)

I love it. Ru names are quite popular ATM (Reuben, Rupert, and less commonly Rufus) but Rudy is the coolest out of all of them imo. But I am a ska fan.
