Full disclosure: the babies we are naming are hens, not humans, so no need to worry about school bullying or job applications

Obviously Henrietta is on the list, open to any and all suggestions

Clementine. I do actually know of a Clementine, who is the daughter of a lord and lady.

Some great suggestions here but for pets you can’t go wrong with a wartime name not yet back in fashion;

Sheila
Linda
Maureen
Janet
Rita
Sandra
Patricia
Judith
Brenda
Sylvia
Elaine
June

Bunny and Piggy, they need to be proper boarding school names.

I also clicked on this thinking Araminta… have you had
Arethusa
Jacintha
Jocasta
Innocenza
millicent
Laetitia
Lucrezia
Zuleika

Also the short forms they go in for: Tiggy, Titty, Thusy, Decca, Debo etc

Just remembered the Borrowers character Eggletina - not posh but quite hen-suitable…
then you also have Arrietty and Homily

I came here to say Harriet but I feel that pales in comparison to some of these. Never even heard of Araminta! (Edit - I can't help saying Araminta in the poshest voice imaginable) 😂

Edited

I have a real life Harriet and she is a teenager so refuses to be anything approaching posh.....😂

I wanted to call her Jemima but DH wasn't keen - but might be great for chucks or puddleducks?

Esmerelda, Ermintrude?

I briefly fantasised about getting a few chickens (three) when I finally acquired a house with a garden. Wasn't really a big enough garden, though, so didn't in the end. But I named my fantasy chickens Queenie, Quince, and Mistress Quickly.
