Hello! Had a surprise baby girl who is still nameless because we were convinced (haha) she was a boy.

Please can you send me lists of names? I really appreciate any help! I don't like typically traditional names, I want something unusual ideally.

Names I love that don't suit / fit:

Elkie
Oriana
Solene
Leni

Love but too popular (or vetoed by DH):

Luna
Nova
Noa

Thanks!

What about Noelle
It's a bit more feminine than nova or noa

Weatherdial · 08/03/2024 23:43

What about mhairi or mhaire..pronounced marry the first or varrie the second.. It's Irish Gaelic for Mary and quite modern but unusual at the same time. Congratulations on your beautiful new daughter. ♥

As you like Celeste which is an older traditional name
plus you seem to like softer sounds

I’m thinking something like

Mamie ( derivative of Mary )
Iona
Edie ( Edith )
Laserian ( meaning light )

As an aside OP a
Selkie

is a mythological creature that has the ability to shape shift between a human form and a seal. They are known as being friendly but also dangerous and vengeful.

In myths they are known as the seal folk
