Just that really. She will be a younger sister to Arthur and Oscar.

My preference would be
1.Nina
2.Anna
3.Emma

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 23/12/2023 08:34

Nina

All are great though apart from Greta.

bettynutkins · 23/12/2023 08:34

Emma

helpmum2003 · 23/12/2023 08:35

Nina, Emma and Anna for me also but not sure about order.

starsinthenightskies · 23/12/2023 08:37

Clara

StellaOlivetti · 23/12/2023 08:40

Nina.

But your whole list is lovely, although I personally prefer Clare to Clara.

theduchessofspork · 23/12/2023 08:41

Emma - it’s a lovely classic

Anna and Clara are also lovely but overdone at the moment. Nina is just a bit nothingy (was originally just a pet form of Anna or names like Janina), Greta isn’t terrible but I’m not mad about it.

Other nice options (if you want them!)

Flora
Oona
Alexandra nn Sacha / Sasha
Esther
Ida
Honor
Freya
Thora
Philippa nn Pippa

Nina
Anna
Greta
Emma
Not a Clara fan

TabMcTat · 23/12/2023 09:08

Thanks all, I am slightly leaning towards Anna but I’m not sure if it’s too plain and traditional against the boys’ names. Nina is my second favourite as I think it’s a bit more unusual but sassy but still works across time and cultures. My husband loves Greta and Clara. Emma is a family name that fits nicely.

Anna or Nina, don't like Greta or Clara

stepintochristmas1 · 23/12/2023 09:15

I like Clara and Greta .

semideponent · 23/12/2023 09:24

Arthur Oscar Clare
Arthur Oscar Nina
Arthur Oscar Clara

Having one name start with a consonant sounds good. Adds definition.

Greta sounds dull - I vote no.

Arthur Oscar Anna
Arthur Oscar Emma

Having all names start and end with open vowel sounds gives a sense of being up in the air, untethered.

BabyYoshke · 23/12/2023 09:34

I think Clara sounds best with the boys’ names but Anna and Nina are the nicest by far in their own right.

BoleynMemories13 · 23/12/2023 09:58

I like Emma the best but I think Clara sounds the best with your boy's names. Anna goes (surely Arthur is just as 'plain and traditional'?) but is a bit vowel heavy with Arthur and Oscar.

InterSteller · 23/12/2023 10:02

All lovely names.

I like Nina best.

ShoesoftheWorld · 23/12/2023 10:02

I like them all. Clara is my favourite, followed quite closely by Anna - which you can't go wrong with IMO - lovely, international, classic, suits all ages.

Rollingdownland · 23/12/2023 10:03

Nina.

Greta isn't pretty with its consonants and reminds me of Greta Thunberg.

Nina is lovely and really goes with your boys' names.

KimGa · 23/12/2023 10:10

I always think it’s best for siblings to have different initials so that would put me off Anna otherwise in future you’ll have two potentially getting post to A.Surname.

Unlike others I like Greta best. Least favourite is Nina. Emma and Clara lovely and sound good with the boys names, there are just likely to be many others with the same name in her class.

lemonyellows · 23/12/2023 10:13

Nina is lovely. And more unusual. Gets my vote.

StillWantingADog · 23/12/2023 10:13

I love Clara but they’re all nice

Greta to me = Thunberg. Not a bad connotation but is a link IMO.

pingusslappyfeet · 23/12/2023 10:14

Nina or Greta. I know a lovely girl called Greta, what a nice list. Only one I’m not keen on is Emma.

stepintochristmas1 · 23/12/2023 10:19

Greta Von Trapp comes to my mind .

BinkyBeaufort · 23/12/2023 10:22

Always had a soft spot for Nina. Greta sounds harsh. The others are just ok.

Bbq1 · 23/12/2023 10:24

Not Anna but Anne

StarlightLime · 23/12/2023 10:28

Clara or Anna.
