I am so stuck. I have girls' names galore, please give me nice slightly arty boys' names that won't get hugely popular in a year or two

It's so hard isn't it, Franny?

Hope you are keeping well

camillathechicken · 16/03/2008 21:23

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 16/03/2008 21:31

i have CAT you!

i do think naming is a terrible hard and time consuming business!

i love it but it is not easy!

DforDiva · 16/03/2008 21:31

i like Reuben, Finley

MadameCh0let · 16/03/2008 21:37

Oh go on, don't tease us. What is it/

LarryVeest · 16/03/2008 21:52

Oh Lucien is very good. He might be called Louche for short, which IMO is a good thing.

MadameCh0let · 16/03/2008 21:57

I love the suggestions Biro and Bingo! Is the o trend on the downward curve then? What about Arnaud then? Not as trendyo.

Has anybody suggested Thaddeus? Love that.

Peter is a great name, he'd be the only one in his class, amongst all the Arthurs and Stanleys and Wilfred Hugos. Peter shows a genuine insouciant cool iykwim.

Please call your baby boy Richie or Victor just because they are my favourite boy names and I'm not having any more children.....

ladette · 16/03/2008 21:57

Not at all arty, but DD would have been Mark if she was a boy. I still love this name.

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 16/03/2008 21:59

Kofi

ADORABLE

we had a cat named it

also Buki but that is a girls name

Rowingboat · 16/03/2008 22:01

Sholto that's a cool name!
More classical names: Castor, Theseus, Minas, or how about Scottish arty: Rennie, Byron?
Now these aren't particularly arty, but quite celtic: Lachlan and Lochie.
Or Boy?
Was there a bready theme - Muffin?

FrannyandZooey · 16/03/2008 22:02

dp is liking Arlo

FrannyandZooey · 16/03/2008 22:03

OP posts:
Rowingboat · 16/03/2008 22:04

PaulaYates, how do you pronounce Buki?

WendyWeber · 16/03/2008 22:04

Have we had Cosmo or Nosmo?

MadameCh0let · 16/03/2008 22:07

What about Ranald? NOT Ronald. As in McDonald. Ranald is in the same style as Magnus. Which OP loves but can't use.

kittywise · 16/03/2008 22:07

cosmo and nosmo? Sounds like cleaning agents

pointedegg · 16/03/2008 22:10

Schmosmo

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 16/03/2008 22:11
