I heard this name recently and love that it is both of Anglo-Saxon origin and came from when the family lived in Claxton and also Ancient Greek κλάζω (klázō, “make a sharp sound; scream”).

For a boy of course. Thoughts?

Just in case the OP really does like it and isn't taking the piss...

May I suggest Saxon instead.

muddyford · 12/11/2023 08:07

Or Foghorn, perhaps.
Fire Alarm would solve the common problem of a middle name.
If you live on a rocky coast Bellbuoy has a nice ring...

Purpleavocado · 12/11/2023 08:10

Pull the other one, it's got bells on it.

This has got to be a troll. No one could be this dim witted in real life.

Oh yes they could. Years ago you'd just tell someone they're thick as shit, these days you'd probably get arrested.

KnickerlessParsons · 12/11/2023 10:16

Surnames are used as first names by very many chavs people.

Loads of non chav boys' names are surnames too: Oliver, Andrew, David, Christopher, Michael, Philip, Timothy, John, James, Harry, Edward.... I could go on.

DumpedByText · 12/11/2023 10:19

I was expecting a big bursting abscess when I saw this!

Don't call your child that, it's just ridiculous 🙄

whiteduvetcover · 12/11/2023 10:20

Why would you name your child after the very thing you don't want them to do - E.g 'emit a loud scream'. 😜

I think baby name meanings are important! That's why most people wouldn't name their kid after something that meant 'dirty' or 'devil' or 'hard-faced'.

I can't believe this is real.

OP has taken this from another thread - it's a joke .

Fannyfiggs · 12/11/2023 11:30

FayCarew · 12/11/2023 12:54

JaxiiTaxii · 11/11/2023 22:09

Caxton would be better. It was the name of the first printing press so at least it's an object that people feel pleasantly towards.

Cax for short? 🤣

Cack

FayCarew · 12/11/2023 12:58

@KnickerlessParsons , many of those were first names that were used as surnames. A lot of surnames end in son or s added to the father's name (Jones, Peters, Jameson etc), but some didn't get the s or son added.

IDoughnutKnow · 13/11/2023 19:03

And I thought I was joking when I mentioned it on the other thread.

Thehonestybox · 13/11/2023 19:12

How about Tannoy?

SoupDragon · 13/11/2023 19:13

Do not do this to your child.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 13/11/2023 20:47

I hope I don't come across as unkind but it sounds like a contraceptive pill.

maddiemookins16mum · 13/11/2023 20:49

What is it with the yoonique names tonight, first Jaxson and now this nonsense.

Nobody with any ounce of common sense or an iota of intelligence, would name their child this.
