Triplet girl names

Hello mamas

in need of some major help here 😅
Hubby and I are officially 10 days away from our scheduled section for our identical triplet girls and massively struggling for a third name.

We have decided on and absolutely love Esme (pronounced ez mee) and Halle, matching beautifully with our big girl Phoebe.

We want a name ending in E and have that E sound at the end. We do not want an ie ending, only e like our other names.

thank you in advance for your help, our countdown in on!

Esmée with an acute accent would be pronounced esmay but the OP has chosen Esme which would be pronounced esmee.

My daughter is 30 tomorrow and she is called Esme …pronounced Esmeee.
Have only met one Mum at school who called her Esmay and I corrected her asap..never happened again,so I personally do not think the pronunciation has ever been a problem!
Esmay is so awful imho.
Maybe it is a regional pronunciation🤷‍♀️

Edited

Must be regional. I've heard Esme loads, and always pronounced as Esmay.

Calliope
Yolande

I like Chloe and Zoe. Chloe is my favourite.

Is it really this hard for people to read?🤦

I would suggest
Zoe
Ione
Penelope
Ariadne
Eirene
Antigone
Ianthe
Dree
Dione
Thisbe
Rosalee
Phryne

Just say you can’t read and leave it there 🙄

@Tripletmamatobe
Are you coming back to this thread? It's really quite funny!

TitilatedOcelot · 16/09/2023 08:34

Chloe, Zoe, Daphne, Evadne, Jaime

Not Thisbe - sounds too much like Frisbee (although that could be another option if you want something unique)

user1492757084 · 16/09/2023 10:46

Phoebe, Halle, Esme and ..
Calliope
Chloe
Bronte
Phryne - as in Miss Phryne Fisher detective stories.

ladygindiva · 16/09/2023 10:55

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this but my mum's name, Irene , pronounced Ireenee. I prefer it to the Ireen pronunciation. Reeny for short.

algasport · 16/09/2023 12:17

Oh yes I love Irene pronounced like that.

DesteB · 16/09/2023 12:27

Dulcie

LovelyBoy2023 · 16/09/2023 18:34

Lotte
Ariadne
Hebe
Hermione
Hecate
Aphrodite
Serene

But my favourite is Cece

TwirlBar · 16/09/2023 18:37

For those suggesting Deirdre, it doesn't really end in an ee sound.

algasport · 16/09/2023 19:13

@TwirlBar
It does in the UK!

algasport · 16/09/2023 19:14

Wondering if the OP has gone into labour!....

SoSadAboutIt · 16/09/2023 19:22

Darcie?

TwirlBar · 16/09/2023 19:25

Well, if you're going to mispronounce names anything's a runner surely @algasport ?😉
Charlotte? Catherine?

I know you're right actually. Deerdree from Coronation St for example. But it's like nails being dragged slowly down a blackboard to me (Irish). It's just wrong.
Don't do it OP

algasport · 16/09/2023 19:33

@TwirlBar so how is Deirdre pronounced in Ireland?

StBrides · 16/09/2023 19:46

I think in Ireland it's pronounced deir-dra isn't it?

Ladybird69 · 16/09/2023 19:51

Amelè
Annalise
coralee

BakewellGin1 · 16/09/2023 19:57

Bronte
Aimee

mathanxiety · 16/09/2023 20:40

The correct pronunciation of Deirdre is Deer-dreh.

Tbere isn't a long EE sound at the end.
