Triplet girl names

Hello mamas

in need of some major help here 😅
Hubby and I are officially 10 days away from our scheduled section for our identical triplet girls and massively struggling for a third name.

We have decided on and absolutely love Esme (pronounced ez mee) and Halle, matching beautifully with our big girl Phoebe.

We want a name ending in E and have that E sound at the end. We do not want an ie ending, only e like our other names.

thank you in advance for your help, our countdown in on!

@MariePaperRoses not a single suggestion fits the brief 😂

Well to be fair it's a limited criteria, and every name ending in "e" and ending with an "ee" sound but not "ie" or "y" ending has already been suggested.

PinkNailpolish · 14/09/2023 20:32

I pronounce Esme as 'ez-may' and Halle as 'hal-i' so, to me, those names don't have the 'ee' sound. If you do have all four girls with rhyming names then their names might be frequently mixed up. This name theme sounds like characters in a children's book.

This thread has really made me laugh with all the funny (wrong) interpretations of the brief!
Where is the OP though? Do you like any of the many suggestions?

Just re-read it and seen no ie endings. Balls

I would also say ez-may for Esme

Calliope is my favourite

Aimee/Amy

Oooh Ione is a good suggestion

Persephone, Percy for short.

strawberriesarenot · 14/09/2023 21:58

Esme is Es-may, though, and Halle is Hall-ie, so they will be explaining all their lives.

301963Laurie · 14/09/2023 22:04

My daughter is 30 tomorrow and she is called Esme …pronounced Esmeee.
Have only met one Mum at school who called her Esmay and I corrected her asap..never happened again,so I personally do not think the pronunciation has ever been a problem!
Esmay is so awful imho.
Maybe it is a regional pronunciation🤷‍♀️

strawberriesarenot · 14/09/2023 22:19

Hubby,
Phoebe,
Esmee,
Hallee sounds a bit like a breathless skipping rhyme and surely needs something to sharpen it up at the end. eg.
Ber - na -dette.

maltesermagnet · 14/09/2023 22:20

Phoebe, Esme, Halle and Zoe

Phoebe, Esme, Halle and Deidre (😆)

Out of the previous suggestions I like Zoe the best, but also throwing Cece out there!

We have a Zoë who goes by Cece 😄❤️ (long story)

PerspiringElizabeth · 14/09/2023 23:30

If you’re feeling really wild OP, what about Oenone! Esme, Halle and Oenone… probably too much hassle to be called Oenone. Pronounced kinda ‘eh-NO-nee’. Greek mountain nymph. Greek names are so great for your brief. As demonstrated by Phoebe, zoe, Xanthe, Persephone etc
