For a girl?

(I'm not pregnant yet but plan to be soon!)

Yes, and maybe you could name her brother Prose.

He probably wouldn't do so well on sports day though, in motion.

And if she turns out to be a tough girl who plays rugby?

So 'tough girls' aren't feminine?

Your child will never forgive you!
We wanted names that were rare/unusual (nothing as bonkers as Poetry though) and decided instead to go for classic family names. Both our teens have over the years been horrified by the other names we considered and said they much preferred their 'normal' ones.

I love Poetry as a name, but I think it's unusable. I once liked Poem for a girl, but I'm no longer liking it.

I know a little girl called Fable, which isn’t my cup of tea but is actually very sweet on her.

Poetry is a bit much.

EditingTheDocx · 10/09/2023 13:40

No. Would you want to be called Poetry?
Leave names like that to narcissistic celebrities.

Daisybuttercup12345 · 13/09/2023 22:56

Poetry in motion.
Teletubbie PO.
Verse.
Just awful.

Calliope is the name of the muse of epic poetry. Very pretty I think.
