Girl - Harriet Maud (I would have been fine with Harriet, but not Maud!)
Boy - Alfred John

My DGD would be Penelope Susan (sounds OK, I think); my DGS would be Simon Sean (not so keen!)

Irene and William is one set
Judith and Lesley the other.

I quite like Irene and william, not so keen on the other two names

FunnysInLaJardin · 19/11/2023 23:19

Caroline and Thomas or David and Miriam.

All fine with me. In fact the DS's have their great grandfathers names as middle names

Same as he is now! Oddly only one grandfather was baptised that name, the other one was just called it for some unknown reason (I only learned this when clearing out mums house and found his birth certificate - grandma has started calling him this when she was very old and suffering from dementia and I assumed she was just confused).

GingerLiberalFeminist · 20/11/2023 13:26

Doreen/Frances
Ronald/Headly (although he went by Peter).

DH's include Edwin which is on our list!

BebbanburgIsMine · 20/11/2023 14:51

Elsie and Ruth

Any boys would have been James or John

Soontobe60 · 20/11/2023 14:54

In my family, myself and my siblings all have middle names of the first names of close relatives, as do all our children! My grandchildren’s middle names are also family names - my granddaughters middle name is the same as her aunts middle name, which is the same as my grandmothers first name. It’s a great thing to do to keep family names.
