Girl - Harriet Maud (I would have been fine with Harriet, but not Maud!)
Boy - Alfred John

My DGD would be Penelope Susan (sounds OK, I think); my DGS would be Simon Sean (not so keen!)

Edward, Joseph (my son's name), or Mary & Molly, all fine. I used Joseph as it was my uncles names who'd passed away, he was my Godfather & my son was born the night before his birthday & whisked away to Special care as he was a tiny preemie so we got to name him on my uncles birthday & it felt right 😁

Harriet Maud is lovely.

Mine would be Catherine Elizabeth and William Arthur. Grin
Too Royal Family.

Harry Leonard
Joyce Joan

I like Harry but not Leonard. Joyce and Joan would be ok in the middle but we don’t do honouring names.

lomondlady · 20/08/2023 17:29

Sheila Martha, Sarah (known as Sadie), Patrick, John (known as Jack)

Girl: Mamie /Mary
Boy: Thomas /John

I actually like all these options for a child today. Unfortunately, when we had DS one of the boy's names had already been used for a 1st cousin and the other just didn't work with my married surname....

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 20/08/2023 18:14

Edna Mavis. I think I'd have won the old lady name trend.

Albert Leslie.
