Harley - boy or girl?

In your opinion is Harley a boys name or a girls name? & where abouts are you from (if you don't mind sharing)

Years ago I met a female Harley in America so always assumed it was, well, a female American name. Then a friend named her son. Bit too American for my liking but it feels quite unisex.

I know of one boy and one male dog so id assume boy.

I automatically assume boy, however I know 2 boys and 2 girls with the name.

It's no worse than calling a girl Riley (a car brand).
I don't like either of them for a girl or boy.

Either. My instinctive assumption would be boy, but I only know one person with the name and she's a girl so not sure where that came from. Works for both!

TBH Harley is DS's cat's name.
I'm aware that you know it's a surname and that is how I see it.

My first thought was that it's a dog's name, and a male dog.

But go for it if you like it, for a boy or a girl.

I know two. Both boys.

Are motorbikes male?

i’ve never thought of motorbikes as having a gender so I wouldn’t go from motorbikes to boy.

I do think it’s a gender neutral name though, so maybe it does fit with motorbikes from my pov 😂

Unisex. I knew a boy one - west Midlands.

I’d presume boy. Although recently met a female Harley in her 20s.

Unisex. If I saw it written down, I wouldn’t know if it was a boy or a girl

I only know one person with that name - he's a 72 year old Canadian man.

Teacher here. Only ever come across it once- a boy.
