Just that really... which do you prefer? What do either name make you think of... etc...

No one says Georg eye na.
I like Georgina and Georgia and Georgette. Georgie is sweet.

@user1492757084 , you can't put it past teenagers to not say it like that.
Georgette is a fabric. It's a pretty name but the association is too strong IME.

I would have the urge to pronounce Georgiana as Anna Chancellor did when she played Caroline Bingley in P&P.

'Daaaaarling GeorgiAHHHHHHna, how I long to see her'.

Love Georgie on a girl.

Biased but I have a Georgina so that’s my favourite out the two! Georgiana is lovely though and I’d probably use it if we were posher. We tried very hard to implement Gigi as a nickname but instead we got Gina, Beena, Beans from family members and Beans has stuck. Sigh.

Georgina is very refreshing.

CallMeBettyBoop · 16/09/2023 22:54

Georgiana is beautiful

I wanted Georgiana for a girl (ended up with 2 boys) after watching The Duchess with Keira Knightly. I love the name.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 17/09/2023 00:06

How would you pronounce it? Georg-ayna or Georgi-arna?

I've never heard anyone pronounce it "Georgayna". It seems odd to me. Why would people think the i is silent?

peaceinourtime · 19/09/2023 14:38

Georgina of the two. Georgette is better and more user friendly then Georgiana which will keep you both busy correcting people.
