Opinions on this name please!

It's of Slavic origin meaning 'princess' and is pronounced zaa-ree-uh.

It's not pronounced like Maria, it's pronounced with emphasis on the first syllable if you know what I mean!

My ds went to school with a Zaria and it was never mispronounced or mixed up with Zara. Lovely name!

I know a Zaria - I think in her case it's a Bangladeshi origin name. I really like it!

Honestly, it's like you wanted to use Zara but wanted to be different but really just made up q name that sounds a bit silly. Not my cup of tea at all.

It's not made up at all. As stated in my OP, it's a Slavic name

Nope. But there's nothing wrong with using a name from a place you're not from... my own name originated from a different country

Where are you getting your info? Slavic isn't a specific language and I've never heard of an Eastern European woman with this name. According to Behind the Name it's a modern English name that's used mainly in the United States.

I think the name itself is fine. But I would suggest doing more research if the origin/meaning matters to you greatly.

I'll ask you the same question... where are you getting your info from? According to multiple sources, Zaria is a name of Slavic origin and definitely not English...
