Alexandra Elizabeth

Emilia

Alex!

Amelia/Emilia/Emily/Aurelia/Evie etc are everywhere and blend into each other. Alex is a cool underused universally known name while still being a popular vowel initial.

AnotherSpare · 07/03/2023 15:54

I prefer a combination of your two - I would choose Emelia Elizabeth. Otherwise Emelia Alexandra.
I don't see any problem with the spelling or pronunciation! Honestly, someone people on this sight are so narrow minded.

RudsyFarmer · 07/03/2023 15:55

Alexandra will immediately get called Alex. So you need to see how you feel about that.

Emilia will be spelt Amelia and for me that’s the preferred name. If you suggested that one I’d say yes.

Mumofgirls2017 · 07/03/2023 16:36

Alexandra Elizabeth more classy and timeless. Also lots of Amelia’s/ Emilia’s/ Emily/ Amelie/ Millie’s etc about

hadenoughforever · 07/03/2023 16:39

Alexandra Elisabeth

halfsiesonapotnoodle · 07/03/2023 16:53

Dislike the mealy sound in Emelia. Really ugly. Alexandra is much better.

pilates · 07/03/2023 16:59

Alexandra

cptartapp · 07/03/2023 17:02

I prefer Elizabeth Alexandra. It flows better although is still a bit of a mouthful.
Alexandra Catherine is even nicer.
Don't like Emelia.

slowsnow · 07/03/2023 17:04

Emilia so much prettier

Scottishgirl85 · 07/03/2023 17:05

My neice is Alexandra, aged 13 and never been shortened by friends or family.

Roselilly36 · 07/03/2023 17:05

Alexandra Elizabeth is lovely, classic & timeless.

Sarahcoggles · 07/03/2023 17:07

Alexandra is better.
Emelia will constantly be called/spelled Amelia.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 07/03/2023 17:07

There are a lot of Emilia/Amelias about. With Alexandra she'd probably be the only one in her class.

Agree with a pp. Wait until you meet her.

ourflagmeansdeath · 07/03/2023 17:08

Emelia Alexandra - Aghh I'd prefer this if it were spelt Emilia Alexandra - then it'd be much lovelier and my fav of the two!
Alexandra Elizabeth - I do like this, it's nice, I just find the middle name Elizabeth boring whereas the middle name Alexandra is gorgeous.

Vote for Emelia Alexandra, but would much prefer Emilia.

Bimblybomeyelash · 07/03/2023 17:11

Emelia Alexandra
Alexandra Elizabeth

No matter what you call her, other people will shorten her name. So do you prefer Em /Emmy/Alex/Lexy?

Personally I think Emelia looks wrong. But I like Emilia.

RoseMartha · 07/03/2023 17:13

I actually prefer Elizabeth Alexandra

But I choose Alexandra Elizabeth over your other option

Snoopystick · 07/03/2023 17:16

I think Emma is lovely and much nicer than all the variants, but Alexandra and Elizabeth are classy and regal.

Garrie · 07/03/2023 17:24

Emilia is nicer.

Growlybear83 · 07/03/2023 17:27

I like Elizabeth and Alexandra, but don't like Emelia - Amelia would be much better. I don't understand the need for a middle name and think just one nice first name is so much better.

LulooLemon · 07/03/2023 18:35

Alexandra Elizabeth

TallulahBetty · 08/03/2023 08:45

Alexandra will not necessarily be shortened.

KirstenBlest · 08/03/2023 09:15

It's very long to not be shortened.

RudsyFarmer · 08/03/2023 09:19

TallulahBetty · 08/03/2023 08:45

Alexandra will not necessarily be shortened.

Long names get shortened.

I have a long name and I had the responsibility by my parents not to let my name get shortened. So that was fun 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️. Even now in middle age I hate the shortened version but no longer correct people…. I just have a little bit of contempt for those who choose to do it without any signals whatsoever that this would be welcomed.
