Expecting a dd maiden name is Clemence.
Would it weird to use it? or nice because it keeps the family name?

I only know Clemence as a male name, but I do have a female friend called Clemency, nn Clem.

I love the idea and it's the perfect pretty name to do it.

Let's face it some names wouldn't work. eg
Trump, Hancock, Mogg, etc Just picked those out!

Wondering why someone wanting to pass their name onto their child would take their partner’s surname. Surely would have been easier for your husband to take your name and then you’d all have it.

A lovely name and a lovely idea. I like Clem/Clemmy for short.

This is how Beyoncé got her name!

Do it! it's beautiful 🤩 i gave my maiden name as my sons middle name, wish i'd given it as his first name now.

DuchessOfSausage · 12/02/2023 11:51

use it as a middle name for all your DC

ChatInMyFlat · 12/02/2023 11:56

My son has my surname as his middle name. He also gave his child the same middle name.

I love it.

My SIL used her maiden name as DS’s first name, pretty common first name - Jackson and a friend did the same with her DD - Cassidy.

caramac04 · 12/02/2023 12:12

I think it’s lovely

AnotherNameChangeYes · 12/02/2023 17:26

I prefer Clemency. I guess she’ll be called Clem or Clemmy either way.

Gillyyy · 12/02/2023 17:35

I like it, I would maybe go for Clemency but both are nice
