middle name will be Douglas and I already have a DS...
Oliver Stephen

So this one will be either..
Leo Douglas
Ted Douglas (full name Edward for when he is older and needs a 'CV' name)

Our surname starts with D

Opinions please....

ted is very sweet, but thats maybe because i love the name Edward!

mum2fred · 09/02/2008 12:45

Leo.

moodywren · 09/02/2008 12:48

Leo - but then I am biased as ds1 is called Leo.

WestCountryLass · 11/02/2008 21:06

My DS is called Leo and a friends is called Ted, both are lovely Wait and see what he looks like when he arrives

MrsDandOllie · 11/02/2008 21:14

I'm liking the idea of Theodore actually, so I could call him Ted/Teddy or Theo, depending on what he looks like or what takes our fancy. I never knew you could shorten Theodore to Ted!
And no, he wont be a Leo star sign Flamesparrow - he is due in 5 days time!!

Edward

hotpotmama · 12/02/2008 17:27

Leo gets my vote!

cheerfulvicky · 11/04/2008 19:09

I like Leo, we are considering for our first!

prettypurpledaisy · 11/04/2008 19:13

Ted for me it was my dad's name short for Edward, definitely gets my vote.

DANCESwithLordPottingtonSmythe · 11/04/2008 19:14

Ted definitely. If he's being naughty I'll bet you call him Tedward

muggglewump · 11/04/2008 19:40

I think Leo sounds nicer but I like more traditional names so I'd go for Edward(Ted) if I had to choose.
I see that Theodore has been suggested and that's fab too.
Leo's too short for me, I'd need a longer "Sunday" name

DANCESwithLordPottingtonSmythe · 11/04/2008 21:01

Mugglewump - just loved what you did with that crocodile fellow. First class.

DaisySteiner · 11/04/2008 21:05

Leo, but only because I have a Theodore/Ted/Teddy and I don't want it to become ubiquitous (pls note how careful I was not to use the word common )

josta · 11/04/2008 22:33

Definately Ted, not keen on Leo sorry.

itsahardknocklife · 11/04/2008 22:37

I like Leo. But there is nothing wrong with Ted either.

grumpybum · 11/04/2008 22:42

I have a cousin called Ted who I think is brill so I def love this name. He is gay and his family call him Teddy Bear! and everyone else calls him Teddi. Great name.
Think of a lion when you say Leo!

pointydog · 11/04/2008 22:48

Ed

ButterflyBessie · 11/04/2008 22:49

Gordon does it for me

naturalblonde · 11/04/2008 22:50

Leo

ollie and leo are v similiar [i have an o, and v govd mate has a leo and it confuses very small people]

Edward is a cracking name - lots of cool nickname options = i love Eddie and Woody as well as Ted

KristinaM · 11/04/2008 23:00

edward, as long as it sounds ok with your d surname

vicsta · 12/04/2008 07:51

DANCES - post made me lol. I still own a much loved teddy bear which was given to me at birth who is called Tedward Bear (Wouldn't beleive that Ted was short for Edward as a child). Will be passing him on soon when baby arrives in early June .
Sorry back to the names. Leo for me, love it.

cyteen · 12/04/2008 11:55

Really don't like Ted. Theodore is nice but shortening it to Ted just makes me think of Ted 'Theodore' Logan and Wyld Stallyns.
