L middle name for Delilah

Basically that. After we’d chosen Delilah DH mentioned he would like baby to have the same initials as his mum as one of our other children has my mums name.

I’m drawing a blank, Delilah is already quite L heavy so think it needs to be a shorter name. Any suggestions?

My top contender was Loveday but DH not keen

Lisette, Lindsay or Linden.

for those that asked why we don’t use MILs middle name, it’s Lennox, Delilah is a big enough name without throwing Lennox in to the mix!!

I agree with Delilah Laine and Delilah Lucia.

sillysocks22 · 26/01/2023 15:26

I actually quite like Delilah Lennox, think it sounds beyond cool 😎

sillysocks22 · 26/01/2023 15:28

Or Leni? Bit of nod to Lennox then too

Crabwoman · 26/01/2023 15:34

I like Lennox!

Delilah Lorelie
Delilah Lavender
Delilah Lark

I don’t think any L middle name would go with Delilah personally.

If the baby will share a surname with MIL then they’ve already got a shared name. I’d push back on the shared initials personally.

Delilah Liberty (although I think Delilah Loveday is wonderful!)

I was reading through thinking God no, not Louise it's overdone to death & sounds so old fashioned... got to your post about MIL name & thought it must be awful but now you've told us what it is I think it's fab.

As a poster up thread said it's boyish enough to give a cool twist & it's far more modern than Louise.

ouse · 26/01/2023 16:46

Delilah Lennox sounds really good and is a much more meaningful choice than the others suggested. It is no more out there than Loveday!

verdantverdure · 26/01/2023 16:57

I like Lennox better than most of my own suggestions.

DancingWithMyPoolCue · 26/01/2023 16:58

Go for Lennox, definitely- great name.

Delilah Lennox (surname)

Absolutely is a cool name.

DS has a family name as a middle name. It's not the coolest of names, it's unusual. But it's a middle name, nobody ever says it but when I do say his full name to be honest most people go: "haha amazing" 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

HoollyWugger · 26/01/2023 17:07

Lennox is FAB!! Liberty comes a close(ish) second for me.

midsomermurderess · 26/01/2023 17:45

Lorraine.

I LOVE Delilah Lennox
Or could do;
Leni
Lottie
Lo

My mom wanted to call me Delilah but went with something similar instead.

thesnailandthewhale · 26/01/2023 17:56

Delilah Lena

AnnieFarmer · 26/01/2023 18:05

Delilah Lisle or Delilah Lysette

DuchessOfSausage · 26/01/2023 18:07

Isn't Lisle a bit too similar to 'Lilah?

CoffeeChocolateWine · 26/01/2023 18:08

Delilah Lisbeth

No.

DuchessOfSausage · 26/01/2023 18:22

I thought it was said as Lyle, like in Lisle stockings. How do you say it?
