Just brainstorming a load of name. Fallon is on the list if we have a girl but struggling to think of a middle name that flows with it 🤔

Any suggestions?

Yes, Fallon rhyming with Gallon!

I get the joke comments if you're reading it as Fall on (two separate words), but they don't work with the way the name is pronounced lol

Yeah. People on this thread are just making themselves look like thickos 😄

Twoinapod · 21/01/2023 14:05

As usual people are being ridiculous on here 🙄 it’s very obvious the way it’s pronounced. So much so that I didn’t understand people making “fall on” jokes until it was said as in my mind I never considered anything other than the correct pronunciation.

I did initially think it was a name for a boy, but no real reason for that.

People in real life aren’t anywhere near as judgemental as they are on here. I got so many negative comments about DD2 name on here, yet I get nothing but compliments on real life and it suits her down to the ground.

it’s a lovely name and don’t let people put you off.

suggestions
Joy
Amelia
Hope
Brooke
Maria
Victoria
Ivy

They remade Dynasty. Same character names. It's on Netflix. Watch it before you decide on the name.

IamEarthymama · 21/01/2023 14:09

For those of us who listen to the Archers on R4, we are well used to the name Fallon, even if we get the Dynasty references too.

I like it and would suggest Fallon Gabriella or Fallon Bryony.

I also like Nora Roberts and enjoyed the Chronicles of the One series.

Nope those pretending they can’t see the obvious similarity to ‘fall on’ are making themselves look like thickos!

Can I suggest to those posters who can't resist the impulse to be "witty " thar they RTFT before commenting.
Others have been there before them...

KirstenBlest · 21/01/2023 14:23

@IamEarthymama , but if they are repeated on here, might it not be slightly repetitive in real life too.
I'd expect quite a few Dynasty and abducted by aliens type comments IRL.

Sadly my grandchildren get very few of my cultural references as there is no longer a limited choice in programmes.
I am sure it will be exactly the same for Fallon when she goes to school.
I chuckle away to myself while they roll their eyes, just as I remember my grandparents doing.
☺️
I like Fallon.

I’m well old enough to remember Dynasty but Archers Fallon is my first association. I find it hard to imagine people pronouncing it Fall-On but that’s probably because it’s a very familiar name.

WhatAmIDoingWrong123 · 21/01/2023 14:32

Oh it’s just awful.

ZeldaWillTellYourFortune · 21/01/2023 14:34

Victoria or Elizabeth

CorporateBull · 21/01/2023 14:34

I assume Archers Fallon was named after Dynasty Fallon by the way. Although it’s an old reference, it’s an unusual enough name that people are bound to ask whether you were inspired by Dynasty and you might want to watch some on YouTube just to check the character doesn’t bother you?!

KirstenBlest · 21/01/2023 15:12

@IamEarthymama , the sudden popularity of some names amazes me because they seem linked to old Coronation Street characters. Ivy just makes me think of Ivy Tilsley, Violet of Ena Sharples, Elsie of Elsie Tanner, Rosie of Webster. Audrey of Audrey Roberts, Alfie Alf Roberts...

I quite like Doris (Speed - Annie Walker) and Hilda and think they are due a comeback.

Completely different pronunciation!!! Sounds nothing like Fall on.

MerryMarigold · 21/01/2023 15:33

DD (14) says Mallory.

Fallon Mallory. I think definitely 3 syllables

IamEarthymama · 21/01/2023 15:34

KirstenBlest
I know 2 girls called Ivy, 1 called Elsie, 3 called Rosie, a Doris and several Alfies.
Also Freddie, Stanley, Billy and Archie.
I like those names too.

I think we will see a return of Jacqueline, Samantha, Nichola, Dawn, Janet as the people this named become grandparents.

OP sorry for getting sidetracked on your thread.
Wishing you all the best as you await the arrival of little Fallon ☺️

HuntingoftheSnark · 21/01/2023 16:15

Fallon Pamela, as it needs three syllables and I loved Pamela Sue Martin, the original and best.

MaryDerry · 21/01/2023 16:17

Fallon Jolene

I wanted to be her when she was Nancy Drew. Also kicking ass in the Poseidon Adventure.

I like Archers Fallon too. But I love Farah too which is also a bit glam American.

Neilsfavouritechilli · 21/01/2023 16:24

I love the name Fallon and definitely know it as a female name.

Fallon and fall on sound similar…. It’s just a fact. If you can’t see that I can’t help you.

Neilsfavouritechilli · 21/01/2023 16:35

But its not fall-on its more like phal-un.

JingsMahBucket · 21/01/2023 16:35

So many immature bullies on this thread. @itsme432 it’s a beautiful name. I think it’s Irish right?
